Central Park West, NYC | The Ardsley | Classic 6 Apartment

This “classic six” uptown home has great bones but the owner wanted a more feminine, global look for relaxed entertaining. The foyer now welcomes guests with a playful, English botanical wallpaper paired with an ornate French console table and abstract artwork. In the living room, we added hand-crafted Moroccan mosaic tiles around the fireplace and refreshed her vintage American and Moorish chairs with new fabrics. The custom made curtains, pillows, and lampshades add patterned, African flair against the modern sofas and rug. To allow work-from-home, I added a desk facing the windows so she can enjoy the room and her view. For casual entertaining, the flexible, six-piece coffee table shifts and the desk becomes a buffet.
